This  LiveMath notebook explores the relationship between coordinate geometry and geometric topics such as types of triangles. An assignment with a notebook such as this might be to have students find coordinates which would give them an obtuse triangle, a scalene triangle,  an isosceles triangle, or even an equilateral triangle. The assignment can be quite challenging.
